ok this is funny

So I really like watching SNL. I think the group they have going now is real good together. One thing I do when I do not get to watch it is go to there web page and watch there skit's online. Now I found this one very funny. Glad I miss it as I am sure my stitches would have come out after my surgery.

It is up there with this one...

was in consistent speed shape after doing Heartland 100., was in the 2:35-6 marathon shape in correspondence to my workouts. full intentions of doing the 50km at sunmart, but when I arrived I also saw great competition in the 50mile race and I've had this hankering to drastically improve my 50mile PR, so I was shooting for 6:00 - 6:05. However switching to a 50mile the day before a race is not a good idea. Lesson learned. My mind nor my training was ready for that distance. Everything was for a 50km. for the last month 1/2 i was just working on speed and no long runs over 2 hrs, as to recover as much as possible from October's race. I came into the half-way mark mile 25 in around 2:58, which was right what I wanted to do as my legs felt super sharp, but my stomach thought otherwise. I spent two pit stops in the biff before the end of the half-way, along with 4 bouts of puking. I pulled out, just not in the cards. Typically I know when to push on through suffering, but this was one where brain over braun was the best prescription. I was in 2nd when I dropped, Matt Lonergan was about 4 minutes ahead. He ran a nice time of 5:56. Justin Ricks also had major gut issues, but not till later in the race and finished strong in 6:21. Oh well it happens. I should have stuck to my original plan, I will do that next year. Probably no 100's next year. Focus will be on fast (50mile/50km ranges) and settling some old scores that bit me this summer and then a fast fall race like Tussey or JFK.. Looks like you have a solid schedule for next year. I say give leadville a go! Settle the score there. Hope all is well and will see you on the trails/roads soon. Frozen 1/2 in Jan....

Samberg and Timberlake's song was the funniest thing on SNL in 20 years (since about Bassomatic and ColonBlow - "It's one thing to be regular. It's another to be unstoppable.")
